September 2026 community update: nutrition, social, cardio and more
Mezo opened for early access this month, and it has been a busy start. This is the first community update: a round-up of everything that has shipped so far, grouped by the part of the app it changed.
Everything here is free while Mezo is in early access.
Training
Log a workout. Start a routine and log each set with its target and last time's numbers beside it. Tick a set and it is saved.
Routines and folders. Build routines with rep ranges, supersets, and warm-up, drop and failure sets, and keep them in folders.
Program templates. 41 ready-made programs to start from, from full body and push/pull/legs to strength and home workouts. Add a whole program or a single day.
Cardio, free workouts and a pause button. Log cardio with time, distance, speed, incline, level and floors, start a workout without a routine and save it as one afterwards, and pause the rest timer.
Automatic progression. Switch it on for a routine and Mezo adds weight, or a rep, once you hit the top of your range, and offers a deload after three misses in a row.
Share routines by link. Send a routine as a link. Anyone can open it, and anyone with an account can save a copy.
A running workout stays in view. Leave the logger and a strip above the tab bar, or an entry in the sidebar on a computer, shows the workout's time and takes you back.
Routines keep an order. Routines no longer have to be listed newest first: your AI assistant can put them in the order you train them.
Nutrition
A Nutrition area, starting with water. Add 250, 500 or 750 ml in a tap against a daily goal, with a chart of the last seven days.
A food day built around the week. A strip of calorie rings opens the food page, protein, carbs and fat get cards of their own, and a chart plots the week against each day's target.
Recents, favourites and your own foods. Recent and favourite foods are a tap away, you can add foods of your own, and the day reads by meal or as a timeline. Vitamins and minerals sit behind advanced mode.
Targets from your first week. Until your log has three weeks of training in it, automatic targets ask how many days a week you train, so training days get more to eat from the start.
Progress and body
Body measurements, dashboard and calendar. Log bodyweight and body composition with a trend and projected goal date, see your training on a dashboard, and plan sessions on a calendar that syncs to Google, Apple or Outlook.
A strength trend for every lift. Open an exercise from a routine or your top lifts to see its estimated one-rep max over time, with its muscles and instructions.
Social
Friends, chat and challenges. Add friends, chat one to one, and challenge each other on workouts, sets or volume. Send a routine or a finished workout into a chat, and share a public profile.
Friend suggestions and a workout feed. Get suggestions from friends of friends, and see the workouts your friends finish.
Edit messages and read receipts. Edit or delete a message after sending it, and see when your newest one has been read.
Cardio and floors challenges. Challenges can now count cardio distance, cardio time or floors climbed, and warm-up sets count towards volume challenges.
Notifications and profile pictures. A notifications panel for friend requests, challenge invites, unread messages and a workout left open, an email when someone sends you a friend request, and profile pictures you can crop.
AI assistants
Connect an assistant over MCP. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client, approve it on a Mezo page, and let it log workouts, meals, water and weigh-ins and build routines.
Assistants can look back. A new tool lists your finished workouts, so an assistant can find one and read it.
API keys. Create a personal key with an expiry for your own scripts, and revoke it at any time.
